The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue provides multiple teams trained in Flood Rescue.
Flood Rescue Teams are used to assist with localised flooding and to assist with the rescue of persons trapped by flood waters and rescues from vehicles in water which are a growing hazard faced by rescue services. River and flood rescue is unique. It requires specialised training, preparation, equipment, and a strong team approach.
Many of the rescues made are of individuals who attempt to drive their vehicles through flooded roads and become trapped in their vehicles or who may accidently drive their vehicle into the river or canal. This team can be deployed to any part of the country in need of its help.
