This morning shortly before 08.33hrs the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service was requested to assist with an incident at the canal in oldbridge where a car had entered the water.
We immediately dispatched 2 of our mobile units containing swimmers and crew to assist with the incident.
On arrival crews met with the car owner ,made sure he was ok and that the car was secure with nobody inside.
Crews joined by Gardai and GT Recovery worked together to make sure the scene was secure and the vehicle was safely removed from the water.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
