Call-out 29/01/2021 05/21

Last night at 19.02pm the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service was requested to assist at Termonfeckin beach.
 
The call was to assist with an animal rescue.The call in question was to the welfare of a large dog in a poor condition reported by members of the public to the Drogheda Animal Rescue.
 
Due to the area , conditions and type of call the Drogheda Animal Rescue Volunteers could avail of our 4x4 unit for the beach and Scene lighting.
 
We immediately dispatched our mobile 1 unit to the location which was followed swiftly by our Mobile 3 unit.
 
On arrival crew met with Drogheda Animal Rescue and a search of the area was conducted from Termonfeckin beach right upto the RNLI station at Clogherhead.
 
Unfortunately there was nothing to report following the search ,but in a follow up inquiry it was discovered to be a call of good intentions as the dog was from a nearby home.
 
All crews were stood down returning to the Boathouse to wash ,restage and Sanitize all the equipment used on tonight's call so it is ready for the next tasking
