The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated shortly before 01.01 am this morning(Saturday).
One of our mobile units had been flagged down and was requested to assist in the search for a person in distress who potentially may enter the water.
Following the activation of the emergency paging system, the inshore rescue boat was launched to conduct a search of known high-risk areas.
We also dispatched multiple land teams to various locations.
A search of the river Boyne was conducted.
A short time later, the crew got a stand down
Crews restage the equipment used ready for the next call.
