Call-out 26/07/2021 27/21 * Removal of Vehicle From Pier *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue requested to assist at 07.00am this morning at Clogherhead Pier.
Assistance was requested from the underwater search unit to help retrieve and remove the vehicle from the water after it entered it yesterday evening.
Our dive unit set up on the pier at the low tide this morning and dive operations commenced to help retrieve and remove the vehicle from the water to a nearby recovery truck.
After a short time diving extract chains had been secured to anchoring points of the vehicle ready for lifting,the dive unit then resurfaced and exiting the water.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
On scene this morning was Clogherhead Coast Guard Unit.
