Call-out 25/07/2021 25/21 * Car in the Water *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 20.08pm today.
Call recieved reports of a car after entering the water at Clogherhead Pier it was unknown if the car was occupied at the time.
The underwater search unit was tasked immediately.
Our inshore rescue boat was launched and swiftly made it's way to the scene.
We dispatched our mobile 1,2 & 3 unit to Clogherhead harbour.
Upon arrival crew met with Clogherhead Coast Guard Unit and Clogherhead Gardai.
The underwater search unit was requested to conducted a primary search of the vehicle.
Following the dive with nothing to report a marker buoy was placed on the vehicle to mark location.
Crews stood down then returning to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment awaiting the next call out.
