** Missing Persons **
The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated shortly before 00.01 am on Wednesday morning.
The call reported that a person in a distressed state may possibly be on route to enter the river Boyne from an unknown location.
We also dispatched multiple land teams to various locations.
A search of the river Boyne was conducted while weather conditions were extremely poor with high winds and rain.
A short time later, one of our mobile unit crews with Drogheda Gardai managed to locate the person matching the description.
Crews restage the equipment used ready for the next call.
