* Missing Person Search*
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated yesterday evening at 17:40hrs.
Call recieved requiring assistance on the river Boyne in a missing person search.
Due to the nature of the incident a search of the water way and river bank from the ramparts down to Drogheda port house was requested.
Crews mustered with the launch of our inshore rescue boat to conduct an up river search ,while a second inshore rescue boat was launched to conduct a search of down river.
Crews carried out a search of both north and south banks of the river boyne including various other locations.
Crews stood down shortly before 19:30hrs and returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
