Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 14.15pm yesterday afternoon.
Crews paged to reports of a person in a distressed state at the bru medical clinic on Wellington Quay. It was feared the person may attempt to enter the water due to the situation.
We dispatched our Mobile 3 unit to the scene while our inshore rescue boat was on standby nearby.
Our mobile 3 unit arrived on scene to conduct a quick search of the area ,with Drogheda Gardai arriving on scene.
We located a person matching the description nearby ,handing the incident over to Drogheda Gardai.
In attendance at today's Call was Drogheda Gardai
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
