Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 22.49pm last night.
Crews paged to assist with a vessel which had broken its moorings ,in return the vessel was adrift in the shipping lane of Drogheda Port.
Our inshore rescue boat was launched with strong foggy conditions on the river Boyne. The inshore rescue boat proceeded up river until they managed to locate the vessel.
The vessel was taken under tow by crew returning back to a mooring area at the Boyne Fishermen's Slipway.
Contact was made with the owner of the vessel and recovery of the vessel was arranged.
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
