*Person Attempting to Enter water *
This morning shortly before 01.20 am the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to reports of a person attempting to enter the water from the Bridge Of Peace area.
We dispatched our Mobile 1 & Mobile 2 unit while our inshore rescue boat was also launched and on route.
On arrival a search of the area was conducted by all units ,Drogheda Gardai and family members both on land and on water with nothing to report.
A short time later nearby the male matching the description was successfully located with Drogheda Gardai.
Crew stood down returning to base to wash and restage equipment in the event of another tasking.
