Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 23:18pm last night.
Crews paged to reports of a person attempting to enter the water from the North Quay area of Drogheda.
The exact location was unknown but following additional information becoming available we where able to pin point a location.
Our inshore rescue boat was launched with a crew of 3 on board and swiftly made its way up river to the incident which was unfolding.
Our mobile 1 & 3 unit crewed with a skill range of Rescue Swimmers, First Aid and Mental Health First Aid was dispatched to the scene.
Following a search of the area the land team successfully located the person matching the description. The crew provided casualty care and kept a stable situation.
Drogheda Gardai arrive on scene swiftly to assist followed by the National Ambulance Service to which the casualty was handed over to.
Crews returned to base, restaged and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
