Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 15.41pm.
 
Call recieved requesting assistance at Seapoint beach where a walker had managed to occur a serious knee injury and was unable to walk.
 
We immediately dispatched 2 of our 4x4 mobile units which contained medical trained personnel and equipment.
 
Our inshore rescue boat was also tasked and proceeded swiftly to the scene to provide additional resources , equipment and personnel.
 
Our mobile 1 unit arrived on scene swiftly to secure , stabilize and administrate first aid.
 
We where joined by the National Ambulance Service and Clogherhead Coast Guard unit.
 
The tide quickly started to rise on the beach and a decision was made to extract the casualty.
 
With the combined efforts of all services on scene working together we managed to secure and move the casualty to the awaiting ambulance.
 
The casualty was then taken for further treatment in Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital.
 
This was a great example of how multiple agencies can work together fast and efficient to secure the best outcome for casualty.
 
The Crews returned to the boathouse on the Marsh Road to wash down , sanitize and restage the equipment used ready for the next call out.
