* Person in Distress *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 11.09am.
Requesting assistance at the sunshine bar area where a person was witnessed in a distressed state and may attempt to enter the water.
We immediately dispatched a mobile unit followed swiftly by our inshore rescue boat to the location.
On scene crew arrived with two rescue swimmers ready to enter the water as a precaution.
Drogheda Gardai also on scene attended to the person in a distressed state.
After a short period of the time the person was removed and in the care of Gardai.
All crews were stood down returning to the Boathouse to wash ,restage and Sanitize all the equipment used on the call so it is ready for the next tasking.
