* Object Floating *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 14:44pm this afternoon.
Call recieved requesting assistance following a black object reported floating in the sea at laytown beach co.meath.
The emergency pager crews mustered with the immediate launch of our inshore rescue boat to the location.
Our mobile 1 unit was dispatched to the scene to provide on scene command and addiontal resources.
On arrival a search of the area was conducted by both the land team and the inshore rescue boat.
After a short period searching the object reported was located matching the description as a sea bird.
Crews stood down as it was deemed a call with good intent.
Other units in attendance Laytown Gardai.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
