** Person Attempting to Enter Water **
At 12.26hrs this afternoon the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a male attempting to enter the river Boyne from the De Laucy Bridge area at Scotch Hall.
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to the location of the incident.
As crews were on route a stand down was given , with the fast response and thinking of Drogheda Gardai they managed to prevent the male from entering the water and secure him for his own Safety.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
