Call-out 14/06/2020 28/20
This evening at 19.23hrs the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated requesting the teams help with reports of a vessel adrift up river at the mell area.
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to the location of the incident.
On arrival crews observed a small craft adrift on the water ,the inshore rescue boat was directed to the location.
A short time later it was taken under tow to the north bank of the river ,where we met with the owner and secured it back to it moorings.
Owner was happy and thanked us for our assistance with the incident.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
On scene also Drogheda Gardai.
