Call-out 12/07/2021 23/21 * Person Reported in the Water *

 
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 15.38pm today.
 
Call recieved reports of a person in the water near Premier Periclase.
 
The inshore rescue boat was launched and made it's way swiftly to the scene followed by the dispatch of our mobile unit.
 
The inshore rescue boat quickly located the casualty in the water , retrieving the casualty into the boat where CPR was commenced immediately.
 
We where joined by a member of the Drogheda Coast Guard unit on our inshore rescue boat who assisted crew with providing CPR to casualty while on route to the slipway.
 
Upon arrival to the slipway with the combined efforts of the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Drogheda Coast Guard unit the casualty was transferred to land, with CPR on going.
 
A swift hand over to the National Ambulance Service the casualty was transferred to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda for further treatment.
 
The Crews sanitized and restaged the equipment used ready for the next call out.
 
On scene today was Drogheda Gardai , Drogheda Coast Guard Unit and National Ambulance Service.
 
This incident today with the combined multi agency work ensured a fast and efficient response to the incident.
 
Following an update on Tuesday morning unfortunately we have received news that the casualty had passed away in hospital.
