** Person reported on the river bank **
At 19.34hrs this evening the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a person on the river bank at the skatepark in Dominics Park .
We dispatched our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to the location of the incident.
As the inshore rescue boat approached the area swiftly ,crews observed no male on the river bank ,but a large group on the walkway.
A further update as the crew of our inshore rescue boat came ashore was the male had fallen and was assisted back to the walkway by members of the public.
Our mobile 1 unit arrived and crew brought Medical equipment to have it on scene in the event of the male requiring medical treatment as we where unsure of his condition.
The male was with Drogheda Gardai and Drogheda River Rescue been escorted to safety.
We where joined on scene also by the Drogheda Coast Guard unit boat.
Crews were stood down returning to base to wash,restage and fuel the equipment.
