* Missing Person *
 
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 07:34am this morning.
 
Call recieved requesting assistance in the search of the river Boyne in Drogheda.
 
It was feared that a missing person had possibly entered the water during the night or in the early hours.
 
The emergency pager crews mustered with the immediate launch of our inshore rescue boat to conduct a search.
 
The search area focused on a number of high priority areas then covering the stretch of the river Boyne down to the bar at Mornington Co.Meath.
 
A second inshore rescue boat was launched to assist in the search while a land team also joined.
 
The crews searched areas from upper mell down river to the mouth of the river Boyne,this included the high tide water areas and mudflats.
 
Shortly before 10:30am the team was stood down pending further information.
 
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
