* Person Riverside of the Railings*
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service where alerted to the possibility of a person in a distressed state riverside of the railing at the ramparts this morning at 07:53am.
We dispatched our mobile 3 unit and crew to the location to investigate the incident.
On arrival crews observed a male river side of the railing in a distressed state.
Crews trained in Suicide prevention awareness and mental health first aid engaged with the male resulting in the safe extraction of the male from the river side.
Crews then managed to maintain a stable situation until the arrival of Drogheda Gardai where the male was taken away for his own safety.
Other units in attendance Drogheda Gardai.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
