* Person Attempting to enter the water *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 04:01am this morning.
Call recieved to reports of a male attempting to enter the water from the Viaduct bridge in Drogheda.
The emergency pager crews mustered with the launch of our inshore rescue boat.Swiftly proceeding to the scene nearby to carry out a search of the area.
Our mobile 1 unit crewed with a team of rescue swimmers arrived on scene within minutes and began to search the area.
Also our mobile 3 unit was dispatched to the ship street area to contact a search of the nearby river banks and viaduct.
While we where joined by Drogheda Gardai and the National Ambulance Service on scene.
Thankfully after a search conducted by all units the crew of the National Ambulance Service managed to locate the person matching the description nearby.
Other units in attendance National Ambulance Service and Drogheda Gardai.
Crews returned to base to wash ,restage and sanitize equipment in the event of another tasking.
