** Animal Rescue **
This afternoon shortly before 15.25pm the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service was requested to assist on Mornington beach.
We dispatched a crew to the location.
Crews were requested to assist with a animal rescue where a baby seal had been washed up in the high tide onto the bar in Mornington.
The seal had became stuck in the dip in the rocks of the wall and was unable to free himself.
Thankfully crews were able to assist the seal back to safety with some rescue equipment.
Seal Rescue Ireland where also involved in assisting with the rescue,they also provided some valuable information on these beautiful animals
