Call-out 02/07/2021 21/21* Possible Person in The Water *
Boyne Fishermen's Rescue emergency paging system activated at 14.30pm this afternoon.
Call recieved that possible person had entered the water from the Boyne Cable Bridge.
Our inshore rescue boat was launched from our boathouse on the Marsh Road and made it way to the scene.
We dispatched our Mobile 1 & 3 units to the scene containing additional crew and equipment.
Due to the nature of the call our underwater search unit was paged to be on standby.
As the inshore rescue boat arrived they conducted a surface search of the area with nothing to report.
Our swiftwater rescue team coordinated search's along the banks ,trees , Islands and areas around the bridge.
Our mobile 2 unit then arrived as an on scene command and support unit.
With no immediate results a request was made for our underwater search unit to be mobilized to the incident.
A short time later a stand was given as further information was received.
The Crews returned to the boathouse on the Marsh Road to wash down , sanitize and restage the equipment used ready for the next call out.
