* Missing Persons *
 
Last night shortly before 23.42pm the Boyne Fishermen's Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a missing person who may attempt to enter the river Boyne.
 
We immediately paged our emergency pager team who responded to the boathouse within minutes.
 
A brief was given to the crews including description,last known location and possible areas of interest.
 
With the current weather conditions reaching -3 it was an not an ideal night to be missing.
 
Immediately after the brief our Mobile 1 , 2 & 3 unit crewed with land teams and rescue swimmers began to search various areas ,points of interest and common entry points to the river Boyne.
 
We dispatched 2 inshore rescue boats to conduct searches along the river Boyne at various locations and have a presence on the river Boyne at various locations.
 
Following the installation of our state of the art DMR radio communications system,the incident last night was an ideal system to have in place.
 
We were able to see ,record and direct all of our units on this call via gps and our private communications channel.
 
Shortly before 02.00 am stand down was given as an update was received in relation to the safety of the missing persons.
 
All crews were stood down returning to the Boathouse to wash ,restage and Sanitize all the equipment used on tonight's call so it is ready for the next tasking.
