Incident 27/04/15 -Person Attempting to enter the water - 010/15
The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service received a callout at 14:57 hrs this afternoon (Monday 27th April).
A call came in reporting a male in a distressed state may be attempting to enter the river Boyne at the Ramparks area of Drogheda.
The Emergency paging system was activated and our team quickly assembled at the Marsh Road Base.
A land crew were immediately dispatched. At the same time the Boat crew had an inshore rescue boat launched and on the river and on route.
While on route crews were informed that the male was safely removed from the area.
Our team was stood down and the units returned to the Marsh Road Base. Cleaned, and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.
