Incident 29/03/16 - Person attempting to enter the water - 012/16

At 16:09 hrs today (Tuesday 29th) The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service emergency pagers were activated reporting a male may be attempting to enter the river Boyne at the Scotch Hall area of Drogheda.
Our team quickly assembled at the boathouse on the Marsh Road and within minutes an inshore rescue boat was launched and on scene.
On arrival the boat crew joined land teams and commenced a significant search of area. After a short time the team was notified that the male was located safely.
All units were stood down at 16:35 hrs and returned to their Marsh Road Base where they Cleaned and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.
