Incident 24/05/16 - Person in Distress - 016/16

<div style="margin-left:auto">At 15:04hrs on Tuesday 24th May, The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service emergency pagers were activated reporting a missing male in a distressed state and who may be attempting to enter the river Boyne from the Mornington area just outside of Drogheda.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">Within minutes an inshore rescue boat had commenced search operations on the river Boyne while a second inshore rescue boat and multiple mobile units had been alerted.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">After a short time conducting search operations, search teams were notified the male had been located safely.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">B.F.R.R.S units then returned to their Marsh Road Base cleaned and re-staged their equipment.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">On scene at today’s incident along with the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service were the Laytown Gardai.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div>
