Incident 23/07/17 Assistance Required 09/17
At 18:39 yesterday evening (Sunday 23rd July) The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service where alerted to pleasure craft adrift with engine trouble approx 2 mile off the Mornington Bar with 3 people on board.
Immediately our inshore rescue boat was launched from the Boyne Rescue Boathouse and proceeded out to assist the craft while a mobile unit crew monitored the rescue operation from the shore line.
On arrival of the inshore rescue boat,they made sure all persons on board where ok and undertook tow of the vessel up the river Boyne to a nearby docking area.
All units were stood down and returned to their Marsh Road Base where they Cleaned and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.
