Incident 21/03/19 Missing Person 04/19

<p> </p> <p>At 15.55 this evening ,Thursday 21st March the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated requesting the assistance of the team in a missing person search which was feared the missing persons may attempt to enter the river Boyne in Drogheda.</p> <p>Immediately we had dispatched various crews including our inshore rescue boat crew ,Mobile units and Scene crews to the incident.</p> <div> <p>Immediately we dispatched a land unit to conduct Search operations along the river Boyne at various spots and our inshore rescue boat was on standby ,while another mobile unit was dispatched to check nearby locations around the missing persons home.</p> <p>Shortly before 18:00hrs one of our mobile unit crews located the missing persons along with family members at the Labour Exchange area of the river Boyne in Drogheda.</p> <p>It was feared that the female would attempt to enter the river, immediately on scene crew suited up as rescue swimmers in the event of an entry and also began to talk to the female while an inshore rescue boat monitored the incident from the river.</p> <p>After a period of time the female successfully managed to leave the area with family unharmed.</p> <p>All units were stood down and returned to base on the marsh road where they cleaned and restaged the equipment awaiting the next call out.</p> </div>
