Incident 20/07/18 Persons Reported in the Water 09/18
At 17.34 hrs today( Friday 20th July ) the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated to the reports of a person after entering the river Boyne at the Scotch Hall area and potentially a second person had entered to try safe the casualty.
Immediately we had dispatched various crews including our inshore rescue boat crew ,Mobile units and Scene crews to the location of the incident.
On arrival of the scene crew they observed the casualty had been successfully rescued from the water with the combined effort of a lifering , a member of the public,Gardai and Scotch Hall security.
The casualty received first aid treatment and was then handed over to the National Ambulance Service.
All units were stood down and returned to their Marsh Road Base where they Cleaned and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out
