Incident 16/10/16 - Assistance Requested - 024/16

<div style="margin-left:auto">At 15.03hrs this afternoon(Sunday 16th October) The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service received a call of assistance requesting a mobile unit and crew at a medical incident which had occurred at the Gormonstown Beach area just outside of Drogheda.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">Immediately a mobile unit was mobilised to the scene of the incident to assist while a second mobile unit had been notified but was on standby.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">On arrival crew members met with the NAS crew who had explained that a member of the public had received injuries following a incident on the beach and required the use of 4x4 vehicle due to the surrounding surface conditions.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">Members of the NAS alongside B.F.R.R.S members and Skerries Coast Guard Unit helped secured the casualty and assisted in safe transportation of the casualty to an awaiting ambulance.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">Again fast thinking and team work from all agencies involved insured the best outcome for the casualty.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">Our team was stood down and returned to the Marsh Road Base. Cleaned, and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.</div> <div style="margin-left:auto"> </div> <div style="margin-left:auto">On scene at todays incident along with the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service were the National Ambulance Service and Skerries Coast Guard Unit</div>
