Incident 12/09/15 -Person attempting to enter the water - 021/15

The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service received a call out at 14:57 hrs this afternoon (Saturday 12th September).

 

A call came in reporting a male in a distressed state may be attempting to enter the river Boyne at the Doners Green area in Drogheda.

 

The Emergency paging system was activated and our team quickly assembled at the Marsh Road Base.

 

Our inshore Rescue Boat and crew were preparing to launch from our Boathouse on the Marsh RD, while our mobile units and crews were dispatched directly to the scene. 

 

On arrival our scene crew observed that Drogheda Gardai had safely removed the male from Donors Green area.

 

Our team was stood down and the units returned to the Marsh Road Base. Cleaned, and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.
