Incident 1/06/16 - Assistance Requested - 017/16
At 18.50hrs on Wednesday evening (1st June) The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service received a call of assistance requesting a mobile unit and crew at a medical incident which had occurred at the obelisk Bridge just outside of Drogheda.
Immediately a mobile unit was mobilized to the scene to assist while a second mobile unit had been notified.
On arrival crew members met with the NAS who had explained that a member of the public had received a injury and had been in difficulty on the river bank but got to safety.
Our team was stood down and the units returned to the Marsh Road Base. Cleaned, and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out.
On scene at Wednesday’s incident along with the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service were Drogheda Gardai,National Ambulance Service,Louth Fire & Rescue and Drogheda Coast Guard.
