Incident 06/03/15 -Person in the water - 007/15

At 23:45 hrs last night (Saturday 6th March) The Boyne Fishermen's Rescue & Recovery Service emergency paging system was activated stating that a person had possibly entered the water at Dominic’s Street Bridge in Drogheda.


Our team quickly assembled at the boathouse on the Marsh Road, while both our mobile units and a inshore rescue boat was dispatched to the scene.


On arrival of the boat crew and land crews we were joined by Drogheda Coast Guard unit and a signicant search of the area was undertaken.


After a period of time the crews were stood down as there was nothing to report.A call with good intent.


On scene at last night’s incident along with the Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service were The Drogheda Coast Guard, and Drogheda Gardai.


Again Team work and good cooperation from the B.F.R.R.S, Drogheda Coast Guard and Drogheda Gardai insured a fast an professional response to this incident.


The Boyne Fishermen’s Rescue and Recovery Service units returned to their Marsh Road Base at 00.30 hrs Cleaned and restaged their equipment to have it ready for the next call out
