Emergency Callout 14/11/19 28/19

This morning at 11.14am the BFRRS emergency paging system was activated requesting the teams assistance with a missing persons search in the Drogheda area.

It was feared that the missing persons would attempt to enter the river Boyne from an unknown location.

We immediately dispatched our inshore rescue boat crew to conduct search operations at various locations and access points to the river Boyne.

We also dispatched our mobile units and crews to nearby areas of interest within the Drogheda area.

A short time later the inshore rescue boat and crew located the missing persons near the rivers edge.

Crew immediately approached and prevented the entry of the person to the water ,they then began to reassure the casualty and taking them away from the waters edge until the arrival of gardai,where a hand over was done.

The crews refilled,washed down and restaged equipment awaiting the next call out.
