Emergency Callout 13/10/19 24/19

Today at 17.22hrs the BFRRS emergency paging system was activated requesting the teams assistance with a male attempting to enter the river Boyne from the De laucy Bridge at Scotch Hall Drogheda.

We immediately dispatched our inshore rescue boat and scene crew to the location of the incident.

On arrival the scene crew who were joined by gardai were informed by security the male had came down off the railings and swiftly exited the area.

Crew conducted a search at nearby locations and maintained a presence on the river for a short time after incase a second attempt was made.

All units were then stood down and returned to our base on the Marsh Road to clean and restage equipment, Ready for next call.
